Algunos objetos son interesantes desde diferentes puntos de vista, quizás constructivo, funcional, poético, pero éste los tiene todos. Una estructura ingeniosa nos recuerda a los pliegues del origami. Puede ser parte de una instalación que podrías incluso encontrar en un museo.
Diseñado por Romero Vallejo para GAN, la firma indoor the GANDIABLASCO, el pouf RUFF es una pieza que se inspira en la geometría de las gorgueras: cuellos rígidos de encajes fruncidos, que se usaron en Europa occidental en los siglos XVI, XVII.
Mezclando geometría y pliegues, el Pouf RUFF se forma a partir de un núcleo central rodeado por un continuo de pliegues, realizado todo en fieltro 100% natural.
La combinación entre rígido y suave, abstracto y geométrico, confieren a la pieza un fuerte carácter escultórico.
El pouf RUFF se presenta en dos tamaños, un pouf alto de 40 cm y otro más bajo de 30 cm. La versión alta tiene un diámetro total de 70 cm, mientras que la versión más baja tiene un diámetro mayor, 100cm.
En cuento al color, se combinan una selecta selección de colores al interior de los pliegues mientras que el exterior tiene siempre un tono gris.

Some objects are interesting from different standpoints, perhaps constructive, functional or poetic... but this one has it all. An ingenious structure brings to mind the subtle engineering of origami. It could also be an installation created with a single object that you might find in a museum. The difference is that you make plans with it.
Designed by Romero Vallejo for GAN, GANDIABLASCO’s indoor brand, the RUFF POUF is a very charming furniture accessory, which is inspired by the fabric ruffles worn around the neck during the Elizabethan era to denote wealth and status.
Mixing geometry and folding techniques RUFF POUF consists of a solid circular drum made from expanded polystyrene and foam rubber surrounded by a continuous pleated skirt made from 100% felted new wool.
The combination of hard and soft, abstract and geometrical patterns lends this furniture item its strong character, which makes a bold design statement.
There are two different sizes, a high and a lower pouf, 40cm and 30cm respectively. The higher version has a diameter or 70cm while the lower version has a larger diameter measuring 100cm.
The color options combine selected tones for the inner pleats with the overall grey felt of the outer pleats and body of the poufs; grey, beige and purple for the high version, grey and yellow for the lower pouf.
